We are adding these to our little makeshift movie room. These cast the perfect ambient light while watching movies or just hanging out playing board games. A single button on/off click on the USB dongle will power these on. This is both a blessing and a curse. Simple yes. But if you would like to plug these into some sort of remote "clapper" switch they won't work. Once these lights are powered off, regardless if you clicked the USB button or used a clapper/remote light switch, the strings of lights remain off. So once a remote light switch or USB button turns them off, they are off. A remote “on” / “off” light switch will not turn these back on. The USB on/off button is the only way to turn them on. It is still a great product for the money. Perfect decor ambiance. Just know the on/off button will be wherever you plug your USB-A cable for electricity.
